Regarding weapon's special abilites descriptions. Totally confused.. - Guild Wars Forums

Im new to this game.. and still cant figure out what the ability description on certain weapons mean.

Example:

Improves skill recharging using Water Magic Skills ( Chance:20% )

- What does this mean? While using water magic spells.. i have a 20% chance of getting an increased recharge? Does it mean depending on how high my water magic skill is... that will determine how much of a improvement i get when it goes off?

Same goes for descriptions like : Improves casting speed using Water Magic Skills ( Chance:20% ). Does this mean that i get a 20% chance of getting an increased cast off while using water magic?

Can anyone help me out?

Every 5 water magic skills you use (this is theoretical, your actual results will vary) one will recharge either faster or instantly.

If faster casting kicks in, you will get your spell off more quickly (in this case, water magic).

If faster recharge kicks in, you will be able to use the spell again sooner than you would normally.

But as to how much faster that is, I don't know.

At a guess, I'd say spell recharge time is shortened by about 50%.

Casting time seems to vary. Sometimes my spells cast instantly, sometimes they cast very very fast, and sometimes they cast normal speed.
